Clara and Davie

Clara and Davie by Patricia Polacco is a book I stumbled across at the library this week.  Although it is from the juvenile section of the library, it is a book for adults as well.  The story of Clara Barton and her brother Davie is a great example of how love and encouragement can make a difference in another person's life.  It is a picture book, but would be best for older elementary or middle school students and beyond.
